Dietitians Australia welcomes the appointment of Magriet Raxworthy as the incoming Chief Executive Officer of Dietitians Australia, following a unanimous decision from its board of directors.
Dietitians Australia is the peak industry body for dietetic and nutrition professionals, representing 9000 members in Australia and overseas.
“Magriet brings a wealth of knowledge in healthcare business management, policy influence and innovation, which aligns with our strategic plan and vision for the future,” Dietitians Australia President Tara Diversi said.
“She is a dietitian with extensive healthcare executive experience spanning over twenty years in Australia and internationally.
“She completed her dietetic training at Stellenbosch University South Africa and holds qualifications as a company director as well as qualifications in innovation, leadership, and organisational change.
“She is passionate about amplifying our causes through member and staff engagement and focusing on building an organisation and profession fit for now and the future.
“We look forward to working closely with Magriet to grow and strengthen our influence and impact as the leading voice in nutrition and dietetics in Australia,” she said.
Magriet will formally commence in the role, based at the Dietitians Australia National Office in Canberra next week.
