Submitted to the Primary Health Care Reform Taskforce (November 2021).

Dietitians Australia has welcomed the opportunity to provide feedback on the Australian Government's Primary Health Care 10 Year Plan.

The plan addresses the future of Australia's primary health care system.

Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) are qualified and credentialed food and nutrition experts with a variety of roles in primary, secondary and tertiary health. APDs guide policy and programs to support improved dietary patterns, support people with established disease to improve their food choices and lead food services in hospitals and other care settings.

As the peak body for dietetics in Australia, we have offered several recommendations for the draft plan.
