Dietitians Australia put forward 4 APR recommendations to the NDIA to ensure that the National Disability Insurance Scheme remains fair, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of participants, providers and market conditions.

Our recommendations include:

  • non-differentiated pricing model (R1)
  • overturning the 2024-25 APR pricing decisions for dietetic therapy to align with the real clinical, administrative, and safety requirements of NDIS dietetic practice (R2)
  • provision for therapy session lengths that accurately reflect the time required to address the complex support needs of participants (R3)
  • establishment of an independent pricing authority (R4)
