Nominations are now open for two Elected Director positions on the Dietitians Australia Board.
Elected Directors play an important role in the governance of Dietitians Australia. Working collectively with fellow directors, they contribute to strategic direction, oversight of organisational performance, financial stewardship, risk and compliance, and the long-term interests of Dietitians Australia and its members.
The appointments are for a three-year term, subject to the Dietitians Australia Constitution.
Who should consider nominating?
We encourage members who are interested in contributing at Board level and who can demonstrate the baseline governance capability, strategic judgement, financial, risk and compliance literacy, integrity and commitment required of a director to consider nominating.
Directors are responsible for governance and strategic oversight rather than day-to-day management. Although Elected Directors are elected by members, their duties as directors are owed to Dietitians Australia as a whole and they must exercise independent judgement in carrying out the role.
Dietitians Australia welcomes nominations from members with a diverse range of professional backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. This year the board is encouraging nominations for members from the public sector or private practice.
