Celebrating our collective impact
Get ready! Dietitians Week 2026 is our biggest celebration yet. We’re marking 50 years dietitians of transforming health across Australia, and this year’s theme, Celebrating our collective impact, puts a spotlight on the power of evidence-based nutrition to change lives.
For 5 decades, Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) have delivered care grounded in evidence, created meaningful impact and built the influence that strengthens our health system and supports communities nationwide.
This is your invitation to learn more, get involved, support your patients to seek expert nutrition guidance, and to take charge of your own health with the guidance of a qualified dietitian.

Why APDs matter
For half a century, APDs have translated nutrition science into practical, personalised advice that support real-world change. They help prevent and manage chronic conditions, guide recovery, and empower individuals, families and communities to make informed choices.
Their work is grounded in evidence, reflected in their impact, and strengthened through their influence across health systems, workplaces and public health initiatives.
- For health professionals: Dietitians are trusted partners who help improve patient outcomes through expert nutrition care.
- For the public: If you’re ready to take charge of your health, seeing an APD is a powerful first step.
