Released June 2021 - The lack of consistency in menu labelling standards across Australia and New Zealand creates health risks. It leads to uninformed choices by consumers. Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) play an important role in regulating the food system. They can support consumers to make healthy food choices.

Review of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991 - Submission 2021

Released June 2021 - The existing food regulatory system leaves Australians at risk of poor nutrition and wellbeing. Reforms to existing legislation and standards are critical to advance the health and interests of Australians, and encourage healthy food choices and education. New standards must be more effective and enforceable.
