Released December 2022 - The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) play a critical role in implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). However, problems with the operation of the scheme including inconsistencies in decision-making processes, lead to disruption of critical dietetic services and serious impacts on the health and wellbeing of people with disability.

The role dietitians play in supporting NDIS participants - Letter 2021

Sent April 2021 - Dietitians Australia wrote to congratulate Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds on her appointment as Minister of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and to highlight the role dietitians play in supporting NDIS participants. A similar letter was also sent to Shadow Minister for the NDIS, the Hon Bill Shorten MP.

Planned reforms to the NDIS scheme - Letter 2021

Sent May 2021 - With the planned reforms to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) causing widespread concern, Dietitians Australia wrote to the Hon Bill Shorten MP, Shadow Minister for the NDIS, requesting a meeting to discuss how the reforms would affect nutritionally vulnerable individuals.
