Released March 2020 - It is the right of people with cognitive disability to have access to nutrition care that addresses their needs. Our submission highlights the barriers to nutrition care for people with cognitive disabilities and how to overcome them.

Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety - Submission 2019

Released March 2019 - Our submission discusses the importance of nutrition in the care of older Australians. We have given 30 recommendations to the Government for nutrition care in the aged care system.

Released June 2020 - Access to accredited practising dietitians (APDs) in the residential aged care system was decreased due to visitor restrictions during the pandemic. Our submission discusses implications of this and our recommendations for future including access to telehealth services.

Budget leaves Australians hungry for change - Media release

Dietitians Australia welcomes the increase in the basic daily fee for aged care homes, announced as a part of the Federal Government’s 2021-22 budget. But without mandatory malnutrition screening, this is money down the drain.
